Fluttering

Vignette #3

I fell into my reflection in the stream 

                  breathing in jellyfish and stingrays

 A glittering violet butterfly

flew on my nose and I followed it   

                  the stream became an ocean

It landed on a rock

and turned into a violet mermaid 

                  with pink seashell breasts. 

I swim slowly towards her 

she brings her face close to mine

                  and bites it off

Hello everyone! Apologies for not posting in weeks. There’s no real reason for it, I just straight up neglected my schedule :( Speaking of which, it’s going to be a lot more sporadic from now on. I have a lot of writing projects I’m excited to share in the coming weeks, so be on the lookout for that! This vignette wasn’t inspired by a song, but here’s a lovely one by one of my favorite bands ♡
